 Best known for her painterly figurative works, California based artist, September McGee recently released several new exciting series and continues to pursue her lifelong passion for creating. She brings color, emotions and a sensuous magic to her renderings, which pulsate with nonpareil energy and technical mastery. With spontaneous deftly rendered brush strokes and a novel palette of color she has built her national reputation as an important American Painter. McGee’s distinctive style blends Impressionism and Realism resulting in expressive paintings and critical acclaim. Her works reveal a timely romanticism creating a style uniquely her own. September is the winner of many national juried show awards and honors and has an extensive résumé of acceptance into over forty prestigious national/international juried exhibitions to date. Versatile in many mediums, she continually strives for excellence with a passion for expanding her style and oeuvre as she embarks on novel avenues of creative expression. McGee’s paintings have been published in the Pastel Journal Magazine 2010 and she held a premiere showing with the Pacific Symphony Orchestra in 2010. Her works are held in galleries and numerous private and public collections throughout the world.
September was just named an Elected Member of the Allied Artists of America Society, NY and holds Signature Member Honors with the CT Pastel Society, CT and the PSWC, CA. She is also a published author.

"Creativity is my salvation and sanity. I am always thrilled when a new series of paintings comes off my easel. I am drawn to the true beauty I find in the people I meet, thus my penchant for impressionistic figurative works. I continually strive for expanding my style and oeuvre with novel techniques and an ever changing palette of color to portray my vision and aim for excellence. This creative energy is a gift that comes through me, for which I am blessed and honored. Each painting is my gift back."
